What is InternScout?

InternScout is a free internship search for college students of every major in the US and Canada. It lists 14,398 open internships, co-ops and research roles from 1,728 employers in 65 fields, collected from employers’ own job boards several times a day. Built by one student, made for all students.

Is InternScout free?

Yes. Searching, ranking and browsing every listing are free and need no account. The optional Auto-Apply Chrome extension is free with a monthly allowance, which a school .edu email doubles; optional Supporter ($4 a month) and Pro ($8 a month) plans raise the allowance.

Which majors is InternScout for?

Every major. Open roles are sorted into 65 fields; the largest right now are software engineering, engineering, finance, data science and analytics, and operations, and there are pages for 78 majors. Internships by major.

Where do the listings come from?

From employers’ public job boards: 86% of open roles come straight from employers' own applicant tracking systems (Workday, Greenhouse, Oracle, iCIMS, Ashby and Lever are the largest). InternScout respects each site’s robots.txt, and every listing links to the posting on the employer’s own site.

How often is InternScout updated?

Several times a day. Each run looks for new roles and drops ones that have closed; 2,301 roles were found in the last week. New this week.

Does Auto-Apply submit applications for me?

No. The Auto-Apply extension fills in the application with AI and stops at the submit button. You review every answer and press Submit yourself. Install guide.

No. InternScout was built by a UMass Amherst student, but it is not affiliated with or endorsed by UMass Amherst, or by any employer it lists.

How is InternScout different from Simplify or Jobright?

InternScout is only for students looking for internships, co-ops and research, its search is free with no account, its paid plans are $4 or $8 a month, and its extension never submits.
